April 2009. This is an initiative under the Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources (Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK)) for skills development in Malaysia.   This raises the profile of the certification to a national level and brings further recognition to the programs which have already been widely accepted by the local ICT industry as their primary route to developing IP competence.
