20 June 2008. The Malaysian Technical Standards Forum (MTSFB) has published their guidelines on how the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) should be implemented in Malaysia, and Orbitage has been heavily involved in the development of this document. The IMS is arguably the most important development in both fixed and mobile communications as they progress towards Next Generation Networks (NGN) to enhance their service portfolio. The IMS offers an effective way to manage the real-time voice and video communication services in this portfolio. For Malaysia, there is much opportunity in carving out a niche in IMS development as this platform is rolled out across the communications industry.
